Data Breaches Reported in Florida
Companies that reported data breaches affecting Florida residents to the state attorney general.
Florida's Information Protection Act requires notification within 30 days of determining a breach has occurred. If a breach affects more than 500 Florida residents, the state AG must be notified. Florida's law covers a broad range of personal information including first name or initial plus last name combined with SSN, financial account numbers, medical history, health insurance information, and online account credentials.
